Kailyn (Kal) holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Miami, along with a Master of Project and Operations Management, a Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner), and a Master of Business Administration. With more than 13 years of nursing experience across trauma centers, psychiatric settings, medical-surgical units, and community health organizations, he manages acute, chronic, and complex conditions and builds individualized care plans grounded in evidence-based practice. He is a committed advocate for equitable access to care, emphasizing policy awareness, community outreach, and culturally responsive practice.

Sukhpreet (Bree) Kaur, DNP, FNP-C, FNP-BC | Family Nurse Practitioner

Sukhpreet (Bree) began her career as a Registered Nurse in 2017 and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2023, bringing nearly a decade of clinical experience and advanced doctoral training. She believes healthcare shouldn't be rushed, impersonal, or focused solely on treating symptoms — your body tells a story, and she wants to understand the whole story. Her approach blends clinical expertise with a focus on wellness, prevention, hormone health, metabolic health, and individualized care, empowering patients to better understand their bodies and make informed decisions about their health. Approachable and thorough, she wants every person she works with to leave feeling more confident, more informed, and more in control of their health.

Liz McCully, MSW, LICSW | Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Liz McCully, MSW, LICSW, has worked in various healthcare settings over the past 30 years, including a teen sexual health clinic, adult hospice, community-based senior mental health, pediatric palliative & hospice, hospital case management, geriatric mental health, and counseling for teens and adults. Liz also holds a Master of Teaching and worked in alternative learning environments, including those focused on outdoor education, drug & alcohol recovery, and at-risk populations. Liz enjoys untangling complex situations and finding creative solutions. In her free time, Liz's favorite activities include hiking up a mountain, gardening, reading, and hanging out with her teenage son, who helps ensure that life is never boring.

Kathleen Esgra | Chief of Staff

Kathleen (Kay) is Chief of Staff at RootBound Health, with over 10 years of experience supporting C-level leaders in fast-paced environments. She spent three years as Executive Assistant to a Co-CEO before transitioning into an operations analyst role, where she tracked pipeline data, generated investor and performance reports, and streamlined workflows to improve turnaround times. Her background spans healthcare, real estate, and aviation, with strengths in calendar and inbox management, data analysis, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination. Known for anticipating needs, maintaining discretion, and delivering under pressure, Kathleen holds a BS in Psychology and works fluently across English and Filipino.

Joao Victor Ishida Correa | Director, Research & Development

Joao is Director of Research & Development at RootBound Health, leading software engineering across product, AI systems, and cloud infrastructure. A Computer Science graduate of Simon Fraser University, he designs and scales the platforms behind clinical operations and patient-facing experiences. His work spans full-stack architecture, intelligent systems, and modern cloud infrastructure, with a focus on reliable products that improve how care is delivered. Outside of work, you’ll find him on the soccer pitch, out hiking, watching movies and shows, or exploring new tech through personal projects.

Tisha Bear | Registered Nurse

Tisha works as a Registered Nurse since 2006 with a background in Intensive Care and now serves as a house supervisor. She began her journey in aesthetics in 2016, specializing in Microblading Brows. She is a mother of two and a grandmother of two.

Elemar (El) is a senior digital strategist with over 20 years of international experience in cross-cultural brand strategy, content localization, and social media governance for global enterprises. A dual UK–Brazil citizen fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, she has partnered with industry leaders across pharmaceuticals, healthcare, SaaS, EdTech, and fintech — including AstraZeneca, Sanofi, and Discovery Education. She specializes in bridging creative engagement with strict regulatory environments, developing social media SOPs, medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) alignment, privacy frameworks, and pharmacovigilance reporting. Using tools like Sprout Social, Sprinklr, and Brandwatch, she protects brand integrity across the UK, EMEA, USA, and LATAM markets. Elemar holds a degree in Social Communications with postgraduate certifications from Columbia University and Kingston University, and leads teams and global vendors to deliver authentic, localized digital experiences.
